The African flower hexagons looked just like the turtle's back plates and in the right color palette, I knew I can make it look just like a tortoise.

This beautiful 2in1 blanket is also a decoration for your room.

Use it to keep warm and snugly, and when you are done with it, fold it and display it on your sofa, armchair or bed.

The blanket is suitable for girls or boys alike, it is crocheted in neutral colors, but you can customise it by choosing your own color palette.

It is designed to be a full body blanket, the pattern includes child and adult size hood and mittens.

By adding or taking away hexagons you can make it bigger or smaller.

Made with super chunky (super bulky / #6) yarn, this blanket is warm and soft, and works up in no time.

Pin it for later

Yarn over and pull through the two loops.

Crocheting in the Front Loop Only (flo) – As explained above, a stitch has a front and back loop that meet at one end and look like an horizontal V (looks like this >).

To single crochet in the front loop only (sc blo), insert the hook under the front loop (the loop that is closer to you), yo and draw up a loop.

Yarn over and pull through the two loops.

To slip stitch in the front loop only (sl st blo), insert the hook under the front loop (the loop that is closer to you), yo and draw up a loop.

Then draw that loop through the loop on your hook.
