Crochet Pattern 2 in 1 Hooded Dinosaur Blanket Triceratops or Stegosaurus in Adult and Child Sizes

The 2in1 Hooded Dinosaur Blanket is the first in a long line of animal hooded blankets I am planning to make. Once my family and friends found out what I was making, they all wanted one for their kids or themselves and now there are 8 different designs in line, so if dinosaur is not your child's favourite animal, you will have other options.

THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY AND SO ALL MY PATTERNS WILL BE FREE FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS FROM RELEASE

THIS PATTERN IS NOT FREE ANYMORE, BUT YOU CAN FOLLOW MY BLOG AND FACEBOOK PAGE TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN OTHER PATTERNS GO LIVE AND YOU WON'T MISS OUT AGAIN

This beautiful 2 in 1 hooded dinosaur blanket is also a decoration for your room. Use it to keep warm and snugly, and when you are done with it, fold it and display it on your sofa, bed or armchair.

The blanket is suitable for girls or boys alike and comes in two versions: triceratops or stegosaurus so you can choose the design you like best.

It is designed to be a full body blanket. The pattern includes child and adult size hood and mittens.

The actual blanket can also be customized to fit a child or an adult and the pattern is explained in a way that you can make it as big or small as you would like it to be.

Made with super chunky (super bulky / #6) yarn, this blanket is warm and soft, and works up in no time.

The pattern will create a blanket size 110cm by 130cm (43.5in by 51in). To customise the blanket, measure the distance from wrist to wrist (with the hands stretched) for the width and shoulder to floor for the length.

Pin it for later

The Hooded Dinosaur Triceratops or Stegosaurus Blanket pattern is available in my ETSY STORE and RAVELRY STORE only in a large print, inexpensive, printable PDF file, with lots of pictures and step by step tutorial on how to crochet yours.

Supplies Used For This Pattern

The pattern is written in US terms.

- 2 x 100g balls of Marriners Yarn super chunky (super bulky/ #6) in gray

- small quantity of Marriners Yarn dk yarn (light worsted yarn) in gray for the 3 horns and eyes

- crochet hooks sizes 4mm and 10mm (optional a 11mm hook for the initial chain and first row if you are a tight crocheter)

- blunt sewing needle to fit the yarn used to stitch the parts together

- scissors

- sewing pins

I get most of my crochet supplies from Amazon, it's fast and easy and I find everything I need in one place.

I also invested in Amazon Prime Membership which makes most of shipping free and deliveries super fast.
